Interview with Temmy Wallace, co-founder of The Temmy Wallace Empowerment Program and iCandi, the online adult sex store, as part of our weekly Sextech Salon.
What are The Temmy Wallace Empowerment Program and the iCandi store, and how did you get into them?
The Temmy Wallace Empowerment Program (TWEP) is my lifestyle coaching that caters to both men and women with a top priority in providing tools for fitness and nutrition, sexual education, love, healthy relationships, building an unbreakable bond, and creating a safe community based on self-love.
Our mission is to provide an honest, straightforward coaching experience which promotes healthy lifestyle and intimacy for both individuals and couples around the world.
Through our private practice located in the metro Dallas/Fort Worth area, we help clients enhance their romantic and sexual lives. In addition, we offer in-person, as well as online individual or couple’s coaching through Skype, FaceTime, or telephone.
iCandi is a trendsetting online adult pleasure product store, offering our first-rate products and exceptional customer service to shoppers from the comfort of their own homes.
What is your vision for the future of your companies?
Our goal for iCandi is to continue to provide people with the tools needed to embrace their sexuality with affordable products that will remain accessible to everyone. We pride ourselves on fantastic quality but most of all SAFE products.
The future would be to empower everyone to just be who they are and be honest with themselves. Honesty with oneself is what leads to self-love and happiness so the future of the platform is to help everyone be happy with themselves with guidance through that journey.
When it comes to sex, what’s the one thing you wish everyone knew?
One thing I wish everyone understood is that consent is key. At any given time both individuals have the right to put an end to a sexual act if they don’t feel like moving forward.
Consent plays a major role in being a respectable individual within a community. Consent to me is widely overused with many individuals not fully understanding the meaning and the calibre of the word. I hope with the help of other professionals in the industry we can break that barrier and educate people on it’s proper meaning and how to apply it in their daily lives.
What are the key trends you’re seeing at the moment that influence your work?
There are a number of “trends” that influence our work although, I don’t like to think of them as trends. We believe in movements such as #MeToo and similar efforts and hope that they stand their ground and continue to shed light on problems our society has turned a blind-eye to. TWEP hopes movements that stand to empower women through equality (and men just the same) stick around until the problem is remedied and in the history books.
Who else in the industry do you admire or look up to?
The first person that comes to mind is Marcelle LeBlanc of The Velvet box. We had the honour of meeting her this year, and believe that her company and her morals are very in line with ours. We are both working hard in this industry to develop a great education system to bring information regarding sexual health and etiquette to the public.
What wider changes do you think sextech can have or is having on society?
We believe that like iCandi and TWEP, sextech is breaking barriers and silencing the taboos that linger around this industry. sextech provides a sense of normalcy to women and men who might otherwise feel like they are unable to embrace this industry regardless of whether it’s professionally or at home.
What are you currently working on that you are willing to share?
Currently, The Temmy Wallace Empowerment Program is working on a series of annual empowerment events geared toward helping men and women of all walks of life be the best that they can be and embrace positive change in their lives.
Our debut event, Passion Collective will take place this fall in New York City! We are excited for what’s to come and hope to be able to include sextech in our efforts!
Thanks Temmy, we can’t wait to see how that goes!
